A small group of protestors some of whom were associated with the Greater Laguna Beach GOP stood outside the Laguna Art Museum yesterday in solidarity against the museum’s choice to support adult themed drag queen actor Joe Faragher as he read books to about a dozen children aged 2-7. The protest was peaceful aside from the honks of cars driving by showing their support.
A Fun Event or Bad Influence?
Drag queen story hour has become a hot topic. A dramatic increase in children with gender dysphoria has resulted in a wave of new laws being promoted by democrats in Sacramento. The proposed laws encourage labeling parents who don’t want their children to mutilate their genitals being labeled child abusers.
The laws are ignoring evidence that there is a greater harm to the surgeries. A new lawsuit against Kaiser Permanente by Layla Jane accuses the hospital conglomerate of removing her breasts at the age of 13 after she claimed that she was a boy. According to a story by the Epoch Times:
The defendants (Kaiser) carried out “ideological and profit-driven medical abuse” when they prescribed her puberty blockers and hormones and, later, performed a double mastectomy, Charles LiMandri, one of the lawyers representing the plaintiff, Layla Jane, said in a statement.
Jane, now 18, was influenced by people online when she was just 11 and told her parents that she was a boy, prompting them to ask for guidance from doctors. While three doctors said Jane was too young for cross-sex hormones, she was eventually referred to several other doctors who prescribed her puberty blockers and hormones. Within six months, they removed her breasts.
The hormones and puberty blockers were given based on a single, 75-minute session with Susanne Watson, a psychologist, according to the suit. Dr. Winnie Tong, a plastic surgeon, concluded after a 30-minute session that Jane could have her breasts removed. “Defendants did not question, elicit, or attempt to understand the psychological events that led Kayla to the mistaken belief that she was transgender, nor did they evaluate, appreciate, or treat her multi-faceted presentation of co-morbid symptoms,” the suit reads.
Parents are in Quite the Pickle
Protesters are concerned that the influence of alternative sexual lifestyles can have a severely negative impact on young children as they are developing an understanding of the basics of gender. “Pickle”,actor Joe Faragher’s drag queen stage name, was recently featured by the notorious twitter account “libs of TikTok”, for actively promoting the concept of drag queen lifestyle in school.

With Signs stating ‘Gays Against Groomers’ and “Stop Sexualizing Storytime”, the protesters seem to be resonating with the majority of residents. None of the protestors were against homosexuality, drag queen performances or adults in transition. Their primary concern was that adult characters like “Pickle” (which is a reference to the character’s Penis), shouldn’t be performing for children. If Joe Faragher wishes to read to children, he would be supported in that endeavor.
Obscenity or Freedom?
The issue comes on the heels of waves of inappropirate behavior across the country, exposing very young children to fetish gear and sexual content in public places under the guise of ‘gay pride’. This past week, Joe Biden’s White House pride event resulted in multiple trans people standing topless in front of the White House. The event was just one of many nearly unbelievable political gaffes around his administration. One gay man who spoke off the record told Free Laguna “This is why LGB wants to distance from TQI+.”
According to the Federalist, San Francisco Leftist Groups are funding Drag Queen Story Hour events across the nation. In fact, their research indicated that Drag Queen Story Hour has actively brought in multiple criminals to participate in the events.
DQSH has brought not just one, not two, but at least three convicted sex criminals, two of whom are convicted pedophiles, into confined spaces with large numbers of young children on multiple occasions. Its events also have been sponsored by a man who’s been charged with seven counts of child pornography possession. So much for the “safe space” that drag queen “Miss Terra Cotta Sugarbaker” claims the program provides.
Many gays, lesbians, and straight families across the country are becoming more incensed by the behavior of a small group of activist individuals. The lack of prosecution for openly sexual behavior and indecency in front of children has alarmed voters of all political parties. Of equal concern is the parents that bring children to these events. As one user stated on twitter “You do not get special status to be obscene”.
The fallout from these events are activating parents and families across the nation to speak out despite crushing suppression from social media companies like Nextdoor, Facebook, and Instagram. Companies like Target and Budweiser are also feeling the heat, losing billions of dollars in revenue from unofficial boycotts for promoting trans and drag lifestyle in their products and marketing.
As we reported earlier, state representative Scott Wilk recently told parents in California to “flee” the state if they loved their children.
